What this independent guide stores and why.
Reading the website
You do not need to register or give a mobile number to read answers. Our hosting service may keep ordinary request logs for security and reliability. We do not request your Telenor login or SIM account credentials.
An essential session cookie protects forms from unauthorized submission. Browser storage remembers notification dismissal and, if you subscribe, a device subscription management token.
Correction reports
We store the date/page, question reference, message, optional email, and submission time in a private editorial queue. We use these to review and correct content. Please leave sensitive account information out of your message.
Rate limits use a hashed network identifier that expires after an hour; raw IP addresses are not written to the application’s report database. Resolved reports and delivery logs older than 90 days are removed when the operator runs maintenance. Unresolved reports remain until reviewed. Hosting logs follow the hosting provider’s retention settings.
Optional push notifications
Daily notifications are currently disabled. The local preview offers an optional, single sample notification after you click Test notification and grant browser permission; this does not create a daily subscription. If daily delivery is enabled, subscribing stores a browser push endpoint, encryption keys, your selected language, and a subscription-management token hash. Your browser’s push provider transports alerts. No Telenor number is required.
Use Notification settings to unsubscribe. You can also revoke the site’s notification permission in your browser. Expired subscriptions are removed when the push service reports that they are no longer valid.
Advertising and analytics
Advertising and third-party analytics are currently disabled. Google AdSense is the planned advertising provider; no Google advertising script is loaded by the current configuration. This notice and the consent controls will be reviewed before advertising is activated.
If Google ads are enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to personalize those ads. Google’s advertising settings let you control personalized advertising; opting out of personalization does not necessarily stop all ads.
Notification permission is separate from advertising consent. Before ads are enabled, a Google-certified consent management platform must provide the choices required for visitors in applicable regions, including the EEA, UK and Switzerland. The current site does not claim that a consent platform is already installed.
Contact and privacy requests
Telenor Guide operates this independent website. Use Contact & corrections to request access, correction or deletion of information you submitted. Include the page, approximate submission date and enough detail to identify your report, but never a password, SIM PIN or account login. An email address is optional when reporting an error; include one if you need a reply.
Clearing browser storage removes local preferences and the subscription management token, but does not itself delete a server-side subscription. Unsubscribe from Notification settings first, where available. You can separately revoke notification permission in your browser.
